The Steps You Need To Really Take Care of Yourself
Would you like to take better care of yourself? Perhaps you sometimes feel like you’re running around trying to take care of everyone and everything while forgetting about your own needs. But have you ever thought about the fact that you’re only able to give from what you have? Much as many of us would love to be able to be and do all the things that our families and friends need us to, we need to realize that if we neglect ourselves, it can have bad consequence, the worst of which would be that we wont even be available for them anymore.
Here at BodySoulnSpaces, we remind ourselves that self-care does NOT mean that selfishness. Rather it means that you tend to your own needs to ensure that you feel your best which would hopefully enable you to fulfil your multiple roles with more ease and love.
We provide you with the inspiration, steps and resources to make self-care and your overall personal growth journey a breeze…and we like to do it with small changes at a time, so that we don’t become overwhelmed with the process. So, if you’d like to take little steps that have maximum effects towards your personal growth, then you have come to the right place.
Holistic Approach to Self Care: From Inside to Outside
We take a holistic approach to self-care by considering the factors that go inside our bodies, those that we apply on the surface and all that surrounds us in our immediate environment and at large, in our self-care journey.
The first step is to examine what you consume, to ensure that you make the most balanced choices for your health and well-being. This includes the wholesome foods we eat, our drinks, as well as supplements if we need them (preferably natural). It also includes the other steps we take to ensure our health and well-being. And then we get into the nitty-gritty of caring for our whole bodies, from taking simple steps towards healthy hair, a clear face and glowing skin, to ensuring that our hands and feet are not left out in our self-care routines. Do I hear some sighs? No, no, no… this is not at all vain! Rather, caring about how you show up in the world does its own bit for your self-esteem and self-love, plus your body will thank you for it eventually if you do it right! You can find some posts that elaborate on skincare here.
Lastly, we remind ourselves that our external environment has its own effect on us. From whatever is hanging in the air of your home, the items in your surroundings, to your outdoor time and space, we tackle it all (or at least we try to!).
Let Food Be Your Medicine
The first area we touch on is the importance of a nutritious diet. Being mindful of our food choices and how we prepare them so that we get the maximum benefits towards our health, is so rewarding. It helps to prevent illnesses, provides upliftment for our minds and keeps our bodies strong. If you’d like to dive deeper into the making wholesome choices that have great health impacts, please find some posts below to get you started:

A ’Beautiful’ Space
As we get to know each other better, you will find that we give new meaning to certain words that we use here at BodySoulnSpaces (more on that later!). Many people are not aware that their environment plays an important role in their level of health, with their moods and it even affects some of our behaviors. A space that helps you to be, feel and do your best is our definition of beauty, and its effects touch on so many aspects of our lives.
